Description
Heavy fog on New Year's Eve and if Dirk had not heard the cry of Jan's cat, all the men from the wrecked Norwegian ship might have drowned. Dirk and Jan share many adventures on land, preparing to become fishermen, but first they must overcome the vow Dirk's mother made that no son of hers would ever go to sea.
