May Lamberton Becker was an American literary critic and anthologist.

The Donkey of God (1931)
This was the first periodical publication of this story about the noble history of the Donkey. It was published in the December 1931 issue of The St. Nicholas Magazine, Volume LIX, No. 2, page 59. The book publication which included several other stories, was illustrated by James MacDonald.
