Pamela Smith Hill
(0 - 0)
Pamela Smith Hill grew up in the Ozarks, near Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Rocky Ridge Farm. A neighbor recommended the Little House books to her when she was 10. She started with “Little Town on the Prairie” and was immediately hooked.
Hill’s parents took me to Rocky Ridge Farm, where she saw Wilder’s original manuscripts on display in her farmhouse.
In my 20s, Hill moved to South Dakota, where Wilder set five of her nine Little House books. She began writing about Wilder professionally.
