Helena Nyblom

Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Helena Roed Nyblom, wed a Swedish professor of aesthetics at Uppsala University and moved to Sweden. She wrote several volumes of verses and stories for children. Beginning in 1897 she published more than eighty original fairy tales. She converted to Roman Catholicism in 1895.
