Louis Dodge
(1870 - 1952)
Born in Burlington, Iowa, Louis Dodge followed his father into the newspaper business, with a break to serve in the Spanish American War where he participated in the reduction of Manila. His first novel Bonnie May was published by Scribners in 1916 and was a commercial and critical success.
