Paul Jacques Bonzon
(1908 - 1978)
Paul-Jacques Bonzon was born and grew up in Normandy in the little town of Saint-Marie du Mont near Omaha Beach. During World War II he was in the underground where he took care of Jewish children who had become separated from their parents. They asked him to tell them stories which was the beginning of a long career as a writer of children’s books. His best known work was a series called The Six Companions.
