Phyllis Krasilovsky
(1926 - 2014)
Phyllis Louise Manning Krasilovsky was born in Brooklyn. She sold her first children’s book to Doubleday just before leaving for Alaska. She was honored by the Dutch government for The Cow Who Fell in the Canal.

Hendrika the cow is bored. When she falls into the canal, she climbs onto a scow and floats down to the city.
