Maynard Dixon

Lafayette Maynard Dixon was a noted illustrator and painter of the early 20th-century American West. He often dressed like a cowboy, wearing a black Stetson hat, boots, and a bola tie.


The Oregon Trail (1943)

In the summer of 1846 the author and his companions crossed the Mississippi in search of Indians and buffalo. This edition is augmented with material from the author's notebooks and the original periodical publication.
